You can only use distilled water as the plants cannot tolerate the minerals and salts in tap or spring water. The reusable terrariums can be stacked and are high-quality injection molded plastic. The top can also be used as a pedestal for the planter once the seeds have sprouted and the plants no longer require the top to be on.
