A five day summer art camp that will take your kids on a journey through art history. Perfect for beginner artists and kids who are passionate about art. Led by Ms. Melanie Hays, a local 5th grade teacher with over 20 years teaching experience.
Art History Summer Session
When: June 22nd - June 26th 1:00pm-3:00pm
For kids ages 8-12 years. Each day, your child will complete two art projects and have an activity packet to take home.
Each student will come away with new knowledge about the following significant movements in art:
Day One: Prehistoric Cave Art in France & Egyptian Art
Day Two: Renaissance (Mona Lisa) & Baroque (Rembrandt)
Day Three: Impressionist (Monet) & Post Impressionist (Starry Night)
Day Four: Abstract Art (Mondrian) & Expressionism (Munch's The Scream)
Day Five: Cubism (Picasso) & Modern Art (Ted Harrison's Arctic Art)
After you have completed registration, please fill out the parental/guardian contact information and review/sign our parental consent form HERE. All children must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver before the session begins. Prior registration must be made in order to attend. All events/classes are non-refundable.
